When I try to restore my database through SSH, it starts the process and says Killed after a small period of time. Does that mean that some of the forum was not restored?That's good. It indicates you have a complete backup. You should use shell acces to restore it:
http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/maintenance_ssh_restoreMost likely since the process was 'killed'. What exactly happened and have you checked the restored db with phpMyAdmin?No error message was generated, it simpy said "Killed". I checked the db and I have 9 MB on the db that make up 50 tables, my sql dump is 18 MBs on my desktop. Is there anything that I can do?Can you paste the exact error message.You are missing at least 34 tables. Are you sure the backup was complete? What are the last 5 lines of the backup file?Okay, look at what I did, I first restored my older file, and then restored my newer one. I got everything up to December, and then because I added my other file, and I got the total number of registered members, threads, posts, all the PMs and other stuff as well. I think that what I have is enough! :D It is working now, thanks! ;)Those are the last three lines of my db:
INSERT INTO `o3dword` VALUES (17349, 'parking');
INSERT INTO `o3dword` VALUES (17350, 'eatures');
INSERT INTO `o3dword` VALUES (17351, 'terminator');
I have an older backup file that I created using the backup feature of vB3, can I restore my forum to that point using that file? It is only 14 MBs, but that is something at least. Anyway, I dont think that the whole of my db was restored, even though I actually used SSH because the database on my desktop is bigger in size.
My older file ends this way..
