America Online announced today it signed an exclusive, three-year deal with Intuit Inc., naming it the primary content provider for AOL's Personal Finance Web Channel.

Under the terms, Intuit has agreed to pay AOL over the next three years close to $30 million, which includes a $16 million payment upon signature of contract.

Intuit will provide almost all the content for financial programming on Tax, Insurance, and, in the future, Mortgages for AOL's Finance Channel, offering users access to financial tools, advice, and other information found on Intuit's Quicken.com Web site.

In turn, AOL will be the primary online service provider promoted on all Intuit's software.

In related news, AOL signed an agreement with E! Online, in which E! Online will become a primary source for content on AOL's Entertainment Channel. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Through the partnership, E! Online, a subsidiary of E! Entertainment Television, will receive prime real estate on the front page of AOL's Entertainment Channel, in turn giving AOL subscribers direct access to entertainment news, online celebrity chats, and other related content.
