• how can i instruct xbmc to not display files with names begining with a dot?

    i store music/movies/tv shows on a linux server, and access them from xbmc (via samba) and also using a mac (via afp). the mac creates "hidden" files eg (.appledouble .ds_store .appledb). can i instruct xbmc to not show these files in eg. the music browser?

    also can xbmc hide file extensions?

    if they are folders, you'll see them and cannot hide them. if they are files, you shouldnt see them because they dont match the music extensions in xboxmediacenter.xml.
