• hey guys,
    i just threw on the newest xbmc (gas_giver 12/27/05) not sure what build. anyway, when i first put the app on the sounds were working. now i get the mute icon in the upper right of the screen and i cant figure out how to get the sound to come back? i opened the xbmc video tour thing and the sound works with it, open my games and the sound works. any idea how to unmute this? thanks!


  • anyone know of a different solution for this? im having the same problem and i only have one controller plugged in. i get no sound and i have the mute icon in the upper left and cant get rid of it-any help would be appreicated-thanks


  • check your controllers... one of them is likely on its side and leaning on the right thumb stick, which controls the volume. once the volume hits the minimum, the mute icon is displayed.


  • this an "the video slider is stuck on-screen!" are two of the most common problems.. volume is mapped to the right thumb stick by default, and the video slider is mapped to the left thumb stick by default. and its always a controller thats in the back of the cabinet, or under the sofa, etc, thats on its side :)
