hi

my setup is as following:-

xbox pal (uk) 1.6(chipped) and xbmc latest cvs build.
lan over powerline (devolo 85mbps high speed lan)
netgear router
buffalo linkstation (lan storage attached to router).

i have all my content on my linkstation.

i have used xbmc for a few years already, but recently i have been having streaming problems.

if i stream from my linkstation (all video media, both ntsc, pal, divx, mpeg2, aac, not aac, a3c etc...) the cache fills up as normal and sits around 80%. then after a few minutes, it starts decreasing.
when it reaches about 30% sometimes it picks up and starts rising to 80% again, but most of the time, it will go down to 0% and then the movie will stutter really badly.

i have already read and tried the other "stuttering" solutions suggested on this board, such as the autosync=30, and higher/lower cache settings. i have set my box back to pal from ntsc using enigma.

is there any way i can see where the problem lies.

my xbox360 uses my broadband over lan perfectly, and transfer rates using ftp are perfectly acceptable and no packet loss is detected on the network. it almost seems as if the xbox isnt asking for more data to fill the cache.

any help appreciated.
