• Hey,
    i was thinking of getting a "taking back sunday" tattoo (its a band incase you dont know) with a little purple heart beside it somewhere. my parents have agreed to sign for me and im really excited. i wanted it on my stomach because i heard it doesn't hurt as bad, but what about if i decide to have kids one day how badly would it stretch?
    if it would stretch badly where should i get it ? where would it hurt less then other places?

    && how bad does a tattoo hurt?
    its not gonna be that big but it'll be a good size.

  • I would hold off on a band tattoo... what if they decide to totally sell out next album and so a love song with Paris Hilton?
    Not likely, I know, but really... you never know what they may do next and what if you HATE it? I would hold off for at least 5 years...which I know, seems like an eternity...and see if you still like them just as much.
    Yes, tattoo's will stretch and distort if you gain weight in pregnancy, or otherwise.
    I hear that the bony places, like your feet hurt the worst.
    I am not against tattoos at all, BTW.


  • I have the Heartagram from HIM on my stomach (yes same one as Bam Margera and Ville Valo the lead singer) and it hurt like a ***** , but totally worth it. It would only ever stretch if you got pregnant,even then it does go back to somewhat normal afterwards, but a warning, it isnt the same. good luck and you must realyl like taking back sunday lol


  • i havent gotten a tat in my stomach yet so i dont know if it would hurt or not. but i do have one on my right shoulder blade and it did not hurt at all, like seriously. hehe.. i also have one on my hand

    and it didnt really hurt either... but i guess everyone experiences different kind of pains, and its gonna be diff. for u. it might hurt u a lot or u might not even feel it.. hehe, also u can take a pain killer like maybe 20 mins before they start ur tat.. i didnt take any but i know some ppl have.. =]... good luck


  • Tattoos don't hurt much. They go numb after the first few minutes, just focus your mind on something else.

    If you are worried about the tattoo stretching in case you decide to get pregnant in the future, get it below your hip bone and to the side, where it won't be affected by pregnancy. Either that or the shoulder blade. I have tattoos in both of those places and they didn't hurt. The wrists hurt me the most. I also have my arms, neck and lower back done.


  • on your elbow. I have 3 on my right and 4 on my left. it only hurts when u think about.

  • I have a tattoo on my lower stomach towards my hip bone/groin area. The part on my stomach hurt more than the part that is on my bone.


  • its gonna hurt like hell, no matter where u put it. dont let anyone tell u different. but when its over it is well worth it. i have 5 and i love everyone of them. go on you"ll be glad u did.
