ShopLink Names New Chairman, Board Members
January 6th, 2009 |New board members include Michael A. Pruzan, a partner of Soros Private Equity Partners LLC; Ronald L. Rossetti, president of Riverside Capital Partners Inc.; and Martin C.B. Mellish, director of Aspen Advisory Services. They join original board member J. Richard Cordsen. Original board members Mark Henry Thompkins and company founder Robert J. Crowell have resigned; no explanation was given as to why.
This announcement follows the recent completion of an approximately $12 million round of equity financing for ShopLink led by Soros.
"The addition of these accomplished directors will enable the company to manage strategic issues in a very effective and dynamic manner," said Icke. "I would also like to recognize the contributions of Robert Crowell and Mark Thompkins as board members from the initial development of ShopLink from 1996 to present day."
ShopLink currently serves customers in more than 70 communities in the Boston suburbs.
ShopLink offers groceries and specialty foods vendors including Captain
Marden's Seafood, Capone's Pasta, Rosie's Bakery, Finagle-a-Bagel and The
Butcherie. ShopLink also provides dry cleaning, film processing and shoe
repair services.
